He was predeceased by: his wife Chameli; his brother Hari Dass; his daughter-in-law Krishna Devi; and his child Ram Murti. He is survived by: his children, Vimla, Kamlesh, Naresh (Usha), Daya Wati (Mohinder Singh), Sharda and Bharat Bhushan (Cynthia); his grandchildren, Pankaj (Manpreet), Kamal (Michelle), Lalita, Arun, Varun and Vandana; his grandchild-in-law Harjinder (Roop); and his great grandchildren, Tej Pal, Maya, Priya, Sukhmani, Harman, Simrit, Yugvir, Shanvir, Nitin, Piyush and Vaani. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
