She is survived by: her husband Jody; her sons, Liam, Gavin and Aiden; her parents, Richard Atherton and Jill Atherton; and her sister Susan Bondy (Ryan Bondy). She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Windsor Essex Hospice or the Essex Windsor Humane Society in Margaret's honour.
