She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ridley and Edward Dwyer. She is survived by: her husband Martyn; her daughter Kaitlyn; her pet Kitty; her siblings, Eva, Alice, Diane, Sharon and Michael; and her godsons, Cory and John.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy's memory to Knobby's Kids Hockey and Skating Program or Kittenaide.

“I am so sorry for your loss. I was very heartbroken to hear the news about Kathy. She was the kindest person I have ever met. I talked to her almost every day at the mall. She made a point to make me smile, and I made her laugh every day. She won the hearts of many people. All of us at Purdys will miss her. . Dollarama will not be the same without her. May she rest in peace.”
