She was predeceased by: her husband Josip "Joe"; her parents, Bara Frketic and Janko Frketic; her brother Marko; and her siblings-in-law, Ana, Katica, Zorka, Nevenka, Maca, Barka and Dragica.
She is survived by: her children, Marica "Mary" Sobol (late Vlado) of Windsor, Mirica "Mira" Omura (Daniel) of Toronto and John Lorkovich (Fran) of Tecumseh; and her great grandchildren, Abigail, Madeline, Luca and Leo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
As an expression of sympathy and to honour Kata's life, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund, or Zupa Novigrad Na Dobri in Croatia, or Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit).
