She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Akerman and Doreen Akerman; and her brother Terry Akerman. She is survived by: her husband John Young; and her siblings-in-law, Debbie Westrop, Brenda Sheehan, Cathy Piruzza and John Hedges. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
