He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Julia Kiteley, John Rovere (Linda), Giacomo Rovere (Jo-Anne), Jo-Anne Drouillard, Gloria Dyrda (Gary), James Rovere (Donna) and Jeannette Desjardins (Gary).

He is survived by: his wife Gladys; his children, Jason Chiasson, Christina Essery (Lonnie) and Robert Chiasson; his grandchildren, Julia, Christopher, Emily, Sofia Essery and Meaghan Davey; his brother Louis Chiasson (Laura); his friends, Janice, Mark, Eileen and Ciaran; and his caregiver Sherri.
