He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Halliday and Gertrude Halliday; and his sister Nancy Gall. He is survived by: his wife Jeannine; his children, Michelle O'Kane (John), Jerry (Elissa), René (Donna), Claire-Anne Yancy (Marty) and Robert; and his brother-in-law Andrew Gall. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
