He was predeceased by: his spouse Oletha Osborne (Lee); his brothers, John Osborne (Beverly) and Robert Osborne (Barbara); and his granddaughter Lisa. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Suominen (late Ray); his children, Marcia Fuglewicz (late John), Ron Osborne (Julie), Doug Osborne (Joanne), Jan Wilson (Brad), Stacey Howie (Terry), Tom Allems (David) and Laurene Strong (Tom); and his grandchildren, Curt, Kevin (Katherine), Veronica, Carrie (Bob), Jamie (Samantha), Sam, Maggie (Trevor), Lindsey, Nick, Mitchell and Shelby. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, and will also be missed by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In memory of George, donations can be made to Tecumseh United Church or to Hospice.

“I was saddened to hear of George's passing this past Sunday and wish all of the family my sincerest condolences. During my 19 years at Wyeth, I had plenty of time to get to know and work with George and found him to be a wise and helpful member of the Wyeth team. After his retirement and subsequent closure of the Windsor operation, I hadn't seen George for several years until my father passed away and George came to the funeral. George was always ethical and a man of great faith.”
