With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eli Popovich (Windsor, Ontario), born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, who passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jovo and Ika; his son John; his siblings, Violet Vadnais and Bronko; his in-laws, Giovanni and Flora Ghione; and his nephews, Peter Thornhill and Christopher Ghione.

He is survived by: his wife Nadia; his daughter Nicole; his granddaughter Isabella Massey; his sisters, Helen May and Cathy Thornhill; his brothers-in-law, Ivo and Robert Ghione; and his nieces and nephews, Randy Vadnais, André Ghione, Debbie Sumner, Bonnie Poliquin, Lisa Ghione, Yvette Ghione, Mecca Thornhill and Kristine Powers.

In memoriam, donations may be made to Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Church, The Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County or The Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation (palliative care).
