Elaine Bender Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 30, 2024, at the age of 75, Elaine Bender (Windsor, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Patricia Ruth; her parents, Ruby Howson and Enos Howson; and her siblings-in-law, Vera Kell (Tom) and Fred Bender.
She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Andrea Riach (Drew) and Sarah Desrosiers (Marcel); her granddaughter Zoey Riach; her siblings, John Howson (Ruth), Ruth Waffle (Bob), Pat Thorpe (John) and Donald Howson (Denise); and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Sarell (late Gordon), George Bender and Melvin Bender (late Lily). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Families First (3260 Dougall Ave, Windsor, ON N9E1S6). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Parkwood Gospel Church (3005 Temple Dr, Windsor, ON N8W5E5).
