He was predeceased by: his wife Amy; his children, Doralynn (Brian Cantin) of Oro-Medonte, Karry Kouvelas (Mary-Ann) of Amherstburg and William Kouvelas (Karin) of Tecumseh; his grandchildren, Mark Kouvelas (Crystal), Matthew Cantin, Andrea Cantin-Broder, Stephanie Maitre (Matthew), Heather Balvert (Michael), Meighan Kouvelas (Joshua Finn) and Jessica Dobos (Tomas); his great grandchildren, Owen Kouvelas, Liam Maitre, Lucas Kouvelas, Landon Maitre and Everett Balvert; his parents, Konstantinos Kouvelas and Theodora Karrys; his former wife Minnie Kouvelas; his grandson Joseph Kouvelas; his brother Nicholas Kouvelas; and his sister-in-law Jean Kouvelas.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (160 Giles Blvd W, Windsor, ON N9A6G9). A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Victoria Memorial Gardens (1185 ON-3, Oldcastle, ON N0R1L0).
