She was predeceased by: her husband George Hanes; her siblings, Basil (late Ruby), Dwight (late Myrtle), Stirling (Marion), Raymond (Dorothy) and Wilma; and her parents, Melvin and Sadie Dawley.
She is survived by: her children, Robert (Susan), Beverley and Bradley (Patricia); her grandchildren, Kelly Johnston (Andrew), Shaun Meikle, Krista Hanes, Justin Hanes (Lindsay), Kelsey Murphy (Neil) and Aleah Castillo (Alex); and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Riley Johnston, Greyson, McKenna Murphy and Rylinn Castillo.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Winchester United Church (519 St. Lawrence Street L1H4C3). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Winchester United Church or the Winchester District Memorial Hospital.
