He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Rooy and Cornelia De Rooy. He is survived by: his wife Elaine De Rooy; his children, Colleen and Curtis; his siblings, Peter De Rooy (Jan) of Winchester and Linda Kelly (Allan) of Georgetown; and his grandchildren, Jacob and Emily (Sebastian). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (167 Chesterville Queen St, Chesterville, ON K0C1H0).
