He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Holmes and Evelyn Holmes; and his siblings, Gerry Holmes and Helen Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Lorna Holmes; his daughters, Diane Holmes of Barrie and Julie Holmes (Steve McKinnon) of Almonte; his siblings, Merle Holmes (Yvonne) of Spencerville, Ray Holmes (Doris) of Manotick, Betty Gorman (late Bob) of Greely and Don Holmes (Judy) of North Gower; and his granddaughter Cassidy Buchanan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
