She was predeceased by: her father Thomas Burkitt; her husband Ernest Thompson; her son Eric; and her brothers, Hugh and Harry.

She is survived by: her son David; her daughter-in-law Andrea; her grandchildren, Caleb, Maria and Jacob of Winchester; her daughter-in-law Rhonda; her grandchild Latara (Paul); her great grandchild Moira of Trenton; and her siblings, Doreen and Jack (Ann).
