He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Katherine; his brothers, Charles and Brand Edwards; and his parents, Celia Edwards and Colin Edwards of Covey Hill, Quebec..

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Jenny (Martin), Susan (Bruce), John (Jodi) and Pop; his grandchildren, William (Christina), Maggie (Justin), Angus, Kieran, Sadie, Ellie, Jack, Leah and Annie; his great grandchildren, Henry and Evelyn; his siblings, Keith (Pat) and Margaret Keddy; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Spindler and Catherine Mick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Hospice Cornwall or the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
