He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gerald (Sharon), Mary Carley (Keith), Keith (Noreen), Dennis (Rita), Bernice Costello (Paul), Brian (Helen), Terry (Pat), Harry (Marjorie), Ida Anne and Bernard (Judy); and his parents, Harry O'Connell and Gertrude O'Connell.

He is survived by: his spouse Ellin O'Connell; his children, Anastasia Chisholm (Scott Halliday) of Cornwall and D'Arcy (Angie) of Williamstown; his grandchildren, Liam Chisholm, Seamus, Kieran and Phoebe O'Connell; and his brother Michael (Donna).

Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, The Norwesters and Loyalists Museum and the Char-Lan Foodgrains Bank would be appreciated by the family.
