He was predeceased by: his siblings, Walter (Joanne), Yvonne Lapierre (Gerard), Raymond (late Gabrielle), Berna Stang (Maurice), Laurier (Vivian) and Betty Stang (late Kelly); and his parents, Armand Poirier and Victoria Poirier.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Poirier; his children, Mervyn (Joan), Marilyn Johnson (Wayne), Jacqueline Cornett and Dean (Margo); his grandchildren, Shelley, Brennan, Maria, Chris, Isabella, Thomas and Claire; his great grandchildren, Hailey, McKenna, Jack and Ruby; and his siblings, Ursula Poirier and Wayne (late Donna).

As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer Society or to the Cornwall Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
