He was predeceased by: his parents, Ilona Gal and Elek Gal; and his brother Elek. He is survived by: his spouse Ildiko; his child Zoltan Gal; his sibling Emesa (Arpard) of Hungary; and his pet Tux.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the George Funeral Home (430 Mary St, Wiarton, ON N0H2T0).
