He was predeceased by: his spouse Marjorie; his parents, Edward Thompson and Jessie Thompson; and his siblings, Pearl Buckland, Alice Brady, Cora Howe, Wanda Lorraine, Les Thompson, Lorne Thompson and Mel Thompson.

He is survived by: his child Tanya Stryker (Dan); his significant other Doreen Gilbert; and his sister Hilda Balls. He is also survived by his many friends and relatives.
