He was predeceased by: his daughter Betty; and his parents, Sarah Bannister and Clifford Bannister. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Debbie Bannister of Cambridge, Jerry (Shirley) of New Hamburg and Theresa Bannister of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Robyn, Lucas and Alysha.
