She was predeceased by: her father Philip Speller. She is survived by: her husband Michael Whelan; her children, Anne Borrelly (Regis), Debbie Gillespie (Neil) and Matthew Whelan (Aikta); her mother Else Speller; and her siblings, Karen McLean, Debbie and Roger Speller.

The family asks that in lieu of gifts, donations be made to Oak Ridges' Hospice or the Recovery College at CAMH.
