James Irwin Bertrand Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Irwin Bertrand (Whitby, Ontario), who passed away on July 30, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Irwin Bertrand and Vera Noreen Bertrand (Hurst); his son-in-law Herb; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Hill (late Herb), Catherine Pike (Ken), Michael and Lizabeth Raja (Peter Giannokopoulos); his granddaughters, Emily Milic (Nik), Victoria Pike, Madelyne Raja and Danielle Raja (Shamus Drumm); his great grandchildren, Mateo and Leo Milic; his brothers, Allan "Hank" Bertrand (Lynn) and Kenneth Bertrand (late Barb); and his wife Barbara Agnes (Polson). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dad loved gardening; in lieu of sending flowers in his memory, we hope you plant some in your own garden and think fondly of him.
