We are sad to announce that on April 21, 2023, at the age of 74, Douglas Smith (Whitby, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Marie Lawson, Joyce Piper, Ron Smith (Norma), Beverly Thompson, Barbara Bassano (Roy), Roy Hooker, Bob Smith (Heather Haliburton-Smith) and Margaret Smith; his siblings-in-law, Jane Martin (Fred), Jacqueline Quinn (late Kenneth Quinn), Michael Heffering (Rosanna), Judy Wright (Brian), Julianne Gilbert (Ron) and Jim Heffering (Sharon); his parents, Gordon Smith and Sadie Smith; his siblings, Dorothy Hooker, Shirley Ellis and Brian Smith; his wife Jennifer Smith; his children, Pat Smith (Michelle Bonsma) and Tanya Smith-Yorke (Dexter Yorke); and his grandchildren, Connor, Sienna, Addison and Harper. He was also cherished by the many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great nephews.

If you prefer, a monetary donation can be made to the Durham Region Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Health Corporation in Doug's memory.
