He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Klassen and Agatha Klassen. He is survived by: his wife Maria Klassen; his children, Neil, Tina Klassen, Kathy, Isaac Driedger, Pete, Elly Klassen, Jake, Martha Klassen, Mary Klassen, Steven Tait, Maggie Klassen and Anna Klassen; and his stepchildren, Abe, Christina Friesen, Lisa and John Klassen. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
