He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Fern Sloan (Cummings); his children, Heather, Cotton, Beth McLandress (Bob), Carol Swick (Paul), Lisa and Simmons; his grandchildren, April Dyck (Brian), Ryan McLandress (Luke Baxter), Wesley McLandress (Bethany), Ashley Swick and Sean Swick; his great grandchild Gemma McLandress; his parents, John Russell Sloan and Sarah Ethelene (Schleihauf); his sister Yvonne Collyer; his sisters-in-law, Pauline Hopkins and Jean Buttinger; and his siblings, Wanita Webster (Mac), Gwen Campbell (Cecil), Bill Sloan (Jean), Jean Zimmerman (Doug), George Sloan (Cela) and Jim Collyer. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Wes always said, "flowers are for the living not the dead", so in keeping with his wishes, memorial donations may be made to the West Lorne Baptist Church, Babcock Community Care Centre or the charity of your choice.
