He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Ellis and Clarice Ellis; his wife Laura; and his son Randy. He is survived by: his daughter Sharon (Jim) of Onslow Mtn, NS.; and his grandchildren, Halisha, Christopher, Kailey (Rob), Mekenzie (Ron) and Jared (Sol). He is also survived by his 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
