He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Cole and Rose Cole. He is survived by: his wife Penny; his sons, Bruce (Teresa), Adam and Wade (Julia) of Sara, TJ; and his grandchildren, Isabella, Scarlett, Macauley, Jaidyn and Charlie. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Charlie would have appreciated memorial donations to Hospice Prince Edward.
