He was predeceased by: his child Kathy; his parents, John Steckly and Annie Zehr; his siblings, Ernie (Marcella), Andrew (Mabel), Edna (Daniel MacQueen) and Beatrice (Norman Leis); and his brother-in-law Ralph Jantzi.
He is survived by: his husband Norma; his children, Doug, James (Andrea) and Paul (Jessica); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy (Cheryl), Melissa, Emma and Kate; and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Jantzi (Ruth) and Barbara Jantzi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Wellesley Mennonite Church, Hospice of Waterloo or M.C.C. would be appreciated.
