He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirlie Vajda; his parents, Louis Vajda and Ottilia Vajda; and his sister Elizabeth. He is survived by: his children, Stephen, Mark (Deanna), Michael (Heidi) and Kristin; his grandchildren, Katlynd, Kaleb, Tayler, Aidyn, Kiera, Ashlyn and Dylan; and his family Toronto Maple Leafs.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home (241 W Main St, Welland, ON L3C5A4). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
