She was predeceased by: her husband James McGowan; her close friend Kenneth Czaplicki; and her daughter Cathy. She is survived by: her children, Teri (Ron), Maureen (Larry), Jim and Mike. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Community Parish of St. Kevin (303 Niagara St, Welland, ON L3C1K5). A burial will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (50 Woodlawn Rd, Welland, ON L3C3J5). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
