He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Peterson and Doris Peterson; and his brothers, Mark and Tony "Jake" Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Cassandra and Kendall; his siblings, Susan Gilmour and Blair Clarke; his significant other Jennifer Hale; and his friend J. Patterson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
