We bid farewell to Gemma Guillemette (Welland, Ontario), born in Saint-Magloire, Québec, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 11, 2025 at the age of 98. Gemma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Guillemette; her son Normand; her parents, Georges Ménard and Célèstine Ménard; her grandson Joshua; and her siblings, Carmel (late Gérard Guillemette), Marie-Claude (late Maurice Métivier), Gisèle (late Denis), Conrad (late Denise Leblanc), Loyola (Madeleine Lapointe) and Henri-Louis.
She is survived by: her children, Michel, Suzanne (Francis), Paul (Kat) and Lise (Alain); her grandchildren, Jason, Shawn, Shirley, Bobby, Breen, Amber, Jean-Paul, Cynthia and Kevin; her great grandchildren, Lily, Liam, Sky, Austin, Joey, Daniel, Gabrielle, Lucas, Halle, Aaliyah, Mystique, Leah and Zoey; and her siblings, Colette (late Rodrigue Boisvert), Soeur Rita, Yvon (Gisèle Ouellet), Léonce (Céline Tremblay), Madeleine (Réginald Audet), Denise (Damien Audet), Maurice (Françoise Bélanger) and Suzanne (Gilles Todd).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Welland Funeral Home (827 E Main St, Welland, ON L3B3Y8). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Église Sacré-Coeur (72 Empire St, Welland, ON L3B2L4). A burial was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (50 Woodlawn Rd, Welland, ON L3C3J5).
