He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Sawyer; and his parents, Nancy Young and Ronald Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Smith (Sarah) and Jeff Smith; his grandchildren, Michael, Xavier, Issiah and Nicholas; and his siblings, Tim Larocque (Dorothy), Douglas Smith, Ronald Smith (Nicole) and Nancy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
