She was predeceased by: her father Bill Moreau. She is survived by: her husband David Russell; her sons, Rocky Fraser of Waubaushene and Ian Russell (Jen) of Victoria Harbour; her grandchildren, Shilo, Lilliana and Sasha; her mother Marjorie Moreau of Elmvale; and her siblings, Ralph Moreau (Corinne) of Honey Harbour, Elaine Quinn (Derek) of Hillsdale and Gayle Woods (Steve) of Hillsdale. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Because of regulations due to COVID-19, a private funeral mass for the immediate family will be held at St. John's R. C. Church, Waubaushene.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Valerie may be made to the Kidney Foundation and may be made through the funeral home.
