She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bernard; her children, Tom (Nancy) of Brampton, Diane Miles (Colin) of Waubaushene, Jean-Paul (Suzanne) of Barrie, Brigitte Roberge (Bill Singh) of Melancthon and Andre (Patricia) of Burlington; and her sisters, Margaret Woollett of Wroxeter and Lisa Bradbury (Butch) of Wasaga Beach. She was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Diabetes Canada or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
