He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Higgins and Edith Higgins. He is survived by: his siblings, Arlene Ostrosser (Dennis) and Doug Higgins (Sandy); his spouse Ginie (Vandervecht); his children, Warren Higgins (Beth), Heidi Thuss (Jason) and Hilary Spicer (Travis); and his grandchildren, Duane (Laura), Aaron, Brianne Knight, Caleb Higgins, Lydia Jane, Chloe, Alaina Thuss, Dylan and Bailey Spicer. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the friends.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
