He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Burns; his parents, Edward Burns and Dorothy Burns; and his sister Linda Hart. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Coppard (Jeremy), Brian Burns and Jody Frayne (Chad); his grandchildren, Taya, Rylan, Aden and Myles; and his siblings, Larry Burns (Marie), Gord Burns (Nancy), Wanda Lawson (Larry), Sue Wiendels (Will) and Don Hart. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

As an expression of sympathy donations to the St. Joseph's Hospice, Sarnia would be appreciated by the family.
