He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richardson and Reta Richardson; and his siblings, Franklin Richardson (Jean), Dalton Richardson (June) and Doris Morris (Ray).

He is survived by: his spouse Jean (Vandeschoot); his sons, Rick Richardson (Paula) and Ron Richardson (Gwendy); his grandchildren, Jim Richardson (Jen), Karen Richardson (Scott), Todd Richardson (Lisa) and Kailyn King (Trevor); and his great grandchildren, Haleigh, Dylan, Blake, Emmaleigh, Allyson, Brynn and Hannah.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
