He was predeceased by: his father Raymond. He is survived by: his wife Fawzia; his children, Tyler, Kamran and Sophia; his mother Catherine (MacIsaac); his siblings, Dale (Sheila), Melanie (John Brison), Darren (Kim) and Mansoor; his sister-in-law Amna Husain; and his nieces and nephews, Mary, Grace, Sydney, Abby, Jehan, Tanner (Ana) and Nasir (Isabel).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Pulmonary Foundation or to the Lung Program at UHN.
