She was predeceased by: her spouse Arthur Toews; her parents, Ken Harmer and Gwen Harmer; her daughter Cheri Toews; and also, Frank Toews and Anna Toews.

She is survived by: her children, Penny Robbins (Gerry) of Peterborough, Allen Toews (Theresa) of Waterloo, Cindy Melloul (Mike) of Huntsville and Jim Toews (Betty) of Conestogo; her grandchildren, Cheri Petch, Jason Petch, Melisa Melloul and Christine Melloul; her great grandchildren, Sylvie, Evelyn, Shannon and Haylea; her brother Harold Harmer (Elaine); and her siblings-in-law, John Toews (Ingrid) and Vernita Phillips. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
