She was predeceased by: her mother Marion Gibbs Hodgins; and her father-in-law Manjinder Sekhon. She is survived by: her spouse Dee Sekhon; her father Douglas Hodgins (Donna); her brothers, Ben Hodgins and Luke Hodgins; her sisters-in-law, Lisa Hodgins and Pam Stortz; her mother-in-law Sukhchain Sekhon; her brothers-in-law, Prab Sekhon and Sunjot Sekhon; and her nieces and nephews, Joshua, Gwendolyn, Brayden, Ava and Ayleah.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home Chapel (171 King St S, Waterloo, ON N2J1P7). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Williamsburg Cemetery (1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd, Kitchener, ON N2R1P6).
To honour Shannon's life and legacy, donations can be made in her memory to the Grand River Cancer Centre, an organization close to her heart.
