She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Shantz and Luella Shantz; and her sister Phyllis Penny. She is survived by: her husband Ross; her daughter Lois Simpson (Joe Van Horn); her granddaughters, JoAnn Stempien (Nick) of Alberta and Jennelle Thomson (Dwalu) of California; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Josianne, Emiline and Ethan. She is also survived by sisters/brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
