He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tiessen and Anna Tiessen (Toews); his mother-in-law Anna Lehn; his siblings, David Tiessen and Margaret Tiessen; and his sister-in-law Irma Tiessen (Willms).
He is survived by: his wife Anita Tiessen (Lehn); his father-in-law Jacob Lehn; his sisters-in-law, Elenor Taves (Donald) and Ingrid Kennedy (David); and his nieces and nephews, Jim Tiessen (Karen Thiessen), Karl Tiessen (Gloria), Matthew Taves, Jonathan Taves (Elizabeth Bellamy), Lisa Jager (Mike), Abigail Kennedy and Hannah Kennedy.
