He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Hopf; his parents, Robert Hopf and Martha Hopf; and his brothers, Carl, Ken, Gord and Doug Hopf.

He is survived by: his children, Toni (John), Kevin (Cindy), Kim (Rob) and Carl; his grandchildren, Katryna (Ryan), Kaley, Kam (Jenna), Sean, Shane, Shataira, Shailynn (Greg), Willow, Kevin, Toni, Michael, Robert, Dylan and Kimberley; and his great grandchildren, Kolton, Austin, Owen, Karter, Rowan, Cedric, Maisy and Ella. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
