He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Henkel and Anne Henkel; his parents-in-law, Richard and Gladys Bambrick; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Tuckwood, Ken Tuckwood, Chuck Kieswetter, Larry Litt and Dave Goudy.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Sheryl Henkel-Gerber, Shelly Schenk (late Rod) and Shane Henkel (Shannon); his grandchildren, Mike (Sarah), Jakob, Julie, Kayla, Jaime and Joel; his great grandchildren, Sadie, Brooklyn and Hailey; his siblings, Evyleen Litt, Maggie Durham (Bruce) and Gerald Henkel; and his brother-in-law Kevin Bambrick (Cathie). He is also survived by kids, grandkids, great-nieces and nephews.
