He is survived by: his wife Hedwig "Hedy" Mary Dankwardt (Wiebe); his children, Dr. John William Dankwardt (Sharon Marie) and Anneliesje Warner (Reginald "Scott" Warner); and his grandchildren, Carl Nicholas Dankwardt, Portia Elizabeth Warner and Kurtis William Warner.
