He was predeceased by: his wife Frances (Brubacher); his parents, Herbert Clappison and Wilhelmina Clappison; and his siblings, Herb (Norma), Dorothy (Jack Virtue), Muriel (Jack Downey), Billy (Sadie), Fred, Richard (Lillian), Edward (Theresa), Robert (Anne), Frances, Donald (Doris), David (Carol), Rhonda Dunk, Peter and Ruth (Jim Fountain).
He is survived by: his children, Philip A., Stephen (Carolyn), Susan, Elizabeth and Margaret; his grandchildren, Emily (Chris), Sarah (Michael), Seanachi, Anailsi, Andrew, Laura (Doug) and Matthew (Ana); his great grandchild Maeve; his brother Paul of Hamilton; and his brothers-in-law, Garry Dunk and Henry Hudel.
