He was predeceased by: his daughter Judy McClement (Keith); his siblings, Lloyd (Shirley), Ruth Rush (Robert), Dorothy Locking and Donald Ernest; his sisters-in-law, Audrey Ernest, Delza Hunt and Stella Locking (Howard); and his parents, Harold Ernest and Christina Ernest.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Ernest (Proud); his sons, Randy Ernest (Gerry) of Brockton and Barry Ernest (Gail) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Katlyn, Michael, Devon and Travis; his brothers, Bruce of Perry Sound and Earl of Hanover; his sister-in-law Edith McTaggart (Bob) of London; and his daughter-in-law Gerry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
