He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oege Okkema (Orval) and Ann Okkema; his wife Susan; his children, Doran, Tati, Brynn, Jeremy, Arend and Jamie; his grandchildren, Lazarus, Oden, Olivia and Willem; his stepgrandsons, Aramis and Lyric; his son-in-law Tory; his sister Tilda; his brother-in-law Ed; his brother Ray; and his in-laws, Chuck, Ruth, Janet, John, Paul and Dawn. He was also cherished by uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
